Today, all that is left of the bees is a few stragglers that apparently the swarm decided were unworthy of them. yesterday, I looked out and the swarm was still there in the morning, but when I looked out at noon (the same time they showed up the day before) they were gone! so, apparently, they had a 24hour ticket to stay in our front maple tree, and their time was up...
now we are saying the swarm left in a hurry, leaving these couple of bees behind and the bees were probably gossiping about "lenny" and "buster" that were always "just a little slow" and the swarm is probably more than happy to be rid of them! now, however, we are stuck with them in our front yard... I don't know how long they will actually make it without their posse

p.s. if you look at the top of both of these pics, you will see that the weight of the bee swarm from the day before actually broke the branch! damn bees

Holy cow! That was a lot of bees! Very weird... I feel bad for Lenny and Buster, there are always some of their kind in every crowd.
